LOGAN – Gov. Spencer Cox will bring his “Connecting Utah” tour to northern Utah on Monday, April 24 and Tuesday, April 25.

“Connecting Utah” is a traveling roadshow that provides the governor with an opportunity to visit all 29 of Utah’s counties to meet with students, residents and business owners.

Cox kicked off his visit to northern Utah with a stop at Rich High School in Randolph in the early afternoon of Monday.

Here in Cache County, he is scheduled to attend a student debate at Utah State University at 5:30 p.m. tonight.

The topic of that debate will be “Should Student Loan Debts be Forgiven?”

That debate is sponsored by Braver Angels – a non-profit group that seeks to de-polarize American politics – and the USU Institute of Government and Politics.

That event is scheduled to take place in the Glen L. Taggart Student Center on the USU campus.

On Tuesday, April 25, the governor’s schedule will begin with an 8 a.m. visit to Green Canyon High School in North Logan.

Cox will share his vision for the future with Green Canyon students, plus discuss ways to disagree better and more politely interact with each other.

Green Canyon High School is located at 2960 N. Wolfpack Way in North Logan.

At 10 a.m., Cox will visit Box Elder High School at 380 South, 600 West in Brigham City.
